Sean Lennon

For this photoshoot with musician Sean Lennon and I asked him to choose six adjectives that best describe him, and then to write each of these adjectives, with accompanying illustration, over his portraits. The result is a portfolio abundant with surreal imagery that, upon close inspection, offers viewers a glimpse into the artist’s soul. Whimsical, confident, submissive, confrontational—these illustrations, these birds in flight, are no less endearing than the music he creates.
