As the 4th highest grossing worldwide box-office actors of all-time, Scarlett Johansson is one of the most valuable actors of the modern age. Despite her screen-goddess appeal, Johansson is an actor’s actor who continues to challenge herself in unexpecting roles and effortlessly shifts between genres. For my photoshoot with Johansson, I collaborated with Post Modern American artist David Salle. Salle's work comprises what appear to be randomly juxtaposed and multilayered images from popular culture to art history. For our collaboration, Salle intertwined his series "Musicality and Humour" with my photos of Johansson, evoking a magical ambiance reminiscent of the American 40s and 50s.
