Jennifer Hudson's extraordinary journey from American Idol contestant to Oscar and Grammy winner, to having her own talk show, personifies the American dream. For my photoshoot with Hudson, I collaborated with American Pop Artist Ashley Longshore. Longshore’s recognizable style of unapologetic, bawdy, whimsical, and tongue-in-cheek paintings allowed Hudson’s playful side to take center stage. Longshore painted the latest runway looks onto my photos of Hudson, transforming her into a pop art visual tale.
