Diane Kruger

This portrait series with Diane Kruger was driven by a desire to move away from polish and toward presence. I photographed her without makeup, aside from a trace of lip gloss, using natural light, leaving her hair towel-dried and undone. As perfection becomes increasingly simulated, I’m more interested in what remains unmistakably human. This shoot was simply about seeing Diane—unfiltered, attentive, and entirely herself.
