Marta Kelava “The Lady From The Sea”

I chose to photograph this fashion editorial on the Croatian island of Mali Lošinj. The island’s natural landscape and Venetian architecture offered a natural counterpoint to the fashion. Venetian stone docksand palazzos, set against the island’s dense flora, form a setting grounded in history and place. Within this context, the clothing takes on a sense of wonder, shaped by its relationship to the surrounding environment rather than imposed upon it.
