Beach Bitch stars my mother-in-law, Marlene Neumark. A former party fixture who proudly claims “Hoover” as her nickname during her Studio 54 years, Marlene is now a grandmother of three—and still fully committed to having a good time. Conceived as a high-end jewelry and bathing suit editorial, the shoot plays with the idea that beauty, like jewelry, is ageless. Photographing Marlene in her seventies challenges narrow ideas of who luxury is meant for, celebrating confidence, pleasure, and self-possession as the true markers of style.
