Set within a dear friend’s home in Mexico City, this editorial was shaped by the extraordinary quality of lightmoving through the space. Dark walls and richly textured tapestries create a deep counterpoint as sunlight cuts through windows and trees with almost surgical intensity. Styled on Irene Stepanenko, the clothing was chosen for its ability to catch, filter, and be swathed by that light—sometimes allowing it to penetrate, other times absorbing it—so that illumination itself becomes an active element of the composition.
