General Tomislav Fishkind-Shoan in “Petite Putto”

This High jewelry editorial was inspired by my son at ten months old, whose cherubic presence recalled the putti that began appearing across Renaissance sacred painting and fresco cycles in the 15th century—figures often nestled among fruit, flowers, and ornament as symbols of abundance and divine generosity. Recasting that visual language through a contemporary lens, General appears within a modern cornucopia of botanicals and high-luxury jewels from Graff, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari, Harry Winston, and Leviev, among others. Here, jewelry functions as more than adornment: it becomes an emblem of inheritance, protection, and the opulent tenderness of early life.
